By Field Level Media Oct 15 (Field Level Media) The Vancouver Canucks traded forward Aatu Raty to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday for forwards Brandon Buhr and Jacob Quillan. Raty, 23, has tallied one goal through four games to start this season. Last season was his first time playing in more than 33 NHL games; he appeared in 66 contests and contributed four goals and 10 assists. We want to thank Aatu for all he has done for the organization, and we wish him well in Toronto, Canucks general manager Ryan Johnson said in a release. By acquiring Jacob and Brandon this move gives our group two new young players to work with as we continue to look for ways to improve our overall depth. A second-round draft pick by the New York Islanders in 2021, Raty only played 12 games for his original franchise before he was dealt to Vancouver as part of the January 2023 trade that sent Bo Horvat to the Isles. Raty has split time between the NHL and AHL for the Canucks. In 118 caree
