Tampa Bay’s best comedy shows coming in August: ‘Cum Town’ host Nick Mullen, Joke Wrld, and more

Nick Mullen Credit: Press Photo St. Pete will soon get a new comedy club (Side Splitters hopes to open at Sundial before 2027), and another month of Tampa Bay comedy gigs is here. The August comedy lineup doesn’t have much in the way of large-venue shows, but it does have Roseanne’s ex, Tom Arnold, coming to Side Splitters in Tampa on Aug. 2. There’s also a new comedy festival, Joke Wrld, which features two days of stand-up comedy and podcasts throughout downtown St. Petersburg. And every club has a full lineup of talented comedians from author types like Sam Tallent, Cum Town co-host Nick Mullen, and former Chappelle s Show writer Kurt Metzger.
